Men's Soccer Transfers 12
COS men's soccer team sends 12 student-athletes on to the next level.
Weed, CA - The College of the Siskiyous men's soccer team is transferring it's largest class in the program's short 3 year history. The 2019/20 transfer class includes 12 student-athletes who will be heading to universities all around the country. The transfers include all-time leading scorer, Liam Brandso (Christchurch, New Zealand) who will be moving on to Midland University in Nebraska. Two year starter, Aaron Blakeston (Hull City, England), will be heading to Baker University in Kansas along with two year starter and captain, Scott Burrell (Manchester, England). Three students will be moving down the road to Simpson University, Louis Down (Adelaide, Australia), Raul Arent (Corning, CA), and Sergio Reyez (Corning, CA). Trei Russell (Fresno, CA), will be headed back closer to home to continue playing at CSU Stanislaus. Gabriel Curioso (Sao Paulo, Brazil) is continuing his college career in America at York College in Nebraska. Despite missing his sophomore year to an unfortunate injury, Sam Benstead (Sunshine Coast, Australia), will be moving on to Bethany University in Kansas along with COS teammate Omar Vasquez (Sparks, NV). Joe Winfrey (Lassen HS, Susanville, CA) has committed to Streling College. Finally, Tanner Smith (Alturas, CA) has made the decision to make the move to the Navy. The coaching staff, athletic department, and school are all very proud of these boys' accomplishments. Good luck guys and GO EAGLES!
