Strong Group Of Women's Basketball Sophomores To Be Recognized Before Saturday’s Home Basketball Games
College of the Siskiyous’ sophomore basketball players will be celebrated before they play their final regularly-scheduled home games of the 2022-23 season Saturday, Feb. 11, against Shasta College. Both the men’s and women’s Eagle teams are having outstanding seasons thanks in large part to the five sophomores on each of their rosters.
The women’s team sophomores to be honored before their game starts at 3 p.m. are Jazmyne Wells, Megan Bennett, Teya Amidei, Kayana Woodard, and Halliday Hubbard.

Jazmyne Wells #00
Jazmyne will be joined by her Mom (Laurie Wells), Dad (Terry Wells), siblings, and girlfriend (Wodin –“Woo-dean”).
High School -- North Medford
Major -- Art
Best Moment/Highlight of your time at Siskiyous -- Meeting new teammates that I can now call family.
Plans for next year -- Growing out my shoe and clothing business. Along with continuing my photography journey while traveling.
Megan Bennett #14
Megan will be joined by her Dad (Scott), Mom (Tammi), sister (Caitlin), and brother (Trey).
High School -- Etna High School
Major -- Kinesiology
Best Moment/Highlight of your time at Siskiyous -- Having the girls on the team all live in the same apartment complex and getting to know them better, and hanging out every day. Basically, all living together in one apartment. Some of my best memories all in 969 apartments.
Plans for next year -- Work and Travel.
Teya Amidei #23
Teya will be joined by her Mom (Kate), Dad (Mike), and sister (Kera).
High School -- Crater High School
Major -- Business
Best Moment/Highlight of your time at Siskiyous -- All of the preseason memories, from taking timer pictures on the beach, to watching the Stanford women’s game, to passing her jar of pickles around before the Yuba game so they wouldn’t “cramp up”. She is grateful for the family she has built and been able to play with for the last two seasons at COS.
Plans for next year -- Transfer to a university to play basketball or throw javelin while pursuing the ROTC program for the Air Force and completing her master’s in business.
Kayana Woodard #31
Kayana is joined by her Mom (Lisa Woodard), Dad (Marvin Woodard), Sister (Alexus Woodard).
High School -- Crater High School
Major -- Natural Science
Best Moment/Highlight of your time at Siskiyous -- My favorite memory during my time at Siskiyous was the fall of 2022 and playing spikeball with my friends 5 times a week and going on fun adventures to swim in McCloud Falls.
Plans for next year -- Looking to move onto a 4-year school and continue my academic and athletic career.
Halliday Hubbard #35
Halliday will be joined by Dad (Craig Hubbard) Mom (Glenda Hubbard).
High School -- Etna High School
Major -- Natural Science and Kinesiology
Best Moment/Highlight of your time at Siskiyous -- Thankful for the opportunity to develop as an athlete and a person and each person who pushed me each day.
Plans for next year -- Continue to play basketball or softball at a four-year school.
