Men's Soccer Celebrated Sophomores
Eleven sophomores from the Eagle men's and women's soccer teams were celebrated when they hosted Butte on Nov. 3rd.
Sophomores recognized prior to the games were announced by athletic coordinator/eligibility specialist Kevin Bradford II along with their hometown, favorite COS soccer memory and plans for the future.
This year's men's soccer sophomores and their responses are:
Benjamin Chandler, Sunderland, UK. Scoring my first goal; Hopefully D1 or D2 university and onto coaching.
Alfie Snow, Middlesbrough, England. My last minute game winner against Woodland at home this season. Looking to go D1.
Carter Edwards, Richmond, CA. Singing on the bus last year. Trying to transfer to a 4 year and keep playing soccer.
Dereck Chavarria, Portland, OR. Every moment since I've been here has been my favorite memory. I plan on persuing soccer at the highest level.
Edric Moroyoqui, Montague. Edgar's bicycle kick. Work, work, work.
Lewis White, Portsmouth, England. Beating Redwoods 8-1. To move onto a university and finish my studies and become a soccer coach.
Both teams lost to Butte, but the Eagle men went on to finish the season with a 5-2 victory Nov. 7th on their home pitch, their third conference win of the season. Freshman Augstin Mateos scored 3 goals
