Siskiyous Track & Field

College of the Siskiyous decathlete, Thomas Dodgen, placed 4th in Northern California at the NorCal multi finals today earning himself a spot to compete at the State Championships on May 17th and 18th in San Mateo.

He set personal bests in 8 out of 10 events (100, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, hurdles, javelin, and 1500m).

His marks were:

Day 1

100m - 11.93

Long jump - 19'6"

Shot put - 34'5 1/2"

High Jump - 5'11"

400m - 52.11

Day 2

110 high hurdles - 17.71

Discus - 97' 1"

Pole vault - 12'

Javelin - 150' 7"

1500m - 4:44

Thomas is an incredible student-athlete and a hard worker. He truly earned the opportunity to compete at state this year. Thomas has decided to attend OIT after he graduates from COS this semester. He is just a great athlete and an amazing young man all around.
