Rayana Atkins is January's Eagle Female Athlete of the Month. The Eagles started conference play in January and finished 4-2 with one game having to be decided in overtime. The Lady Eagles have been hot on offense ranking 8th in the state in 3 pointers made with 206 and also 3rd in free throws made with 329. They are ranked 18th in the state as well in ppg with 70. Rayana's effort on the court has not gone unnoticed and she has been a momentum shifter in some of the Eagles conference games. Rayana's shot selection has been great on the year which is why she is ranked 9th in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 44.1 percent from the field. She is also ranked 7th in conference in offensive rebounds with 51 and 14th in total rebounds with 103 which is also 4th best on the team. Rayana has put the work in and has been benefiting from the fruits of her labor. The Eagles have 2 conference games left as they try compete for co conference champions and will need Rayana to keep up her hard play.
